Tekra (YAKINDA)

Reminder is our cross-platform task and notification management app, built with React Native to target both iOS and Android from a shared codebase. The design philosophy is deliberate minimalism: the fastest path from opening the app to having a reminder set should be three taps or fewer, and every feature that slows that path down has been removed.

The notification infrastructure is the technical core of the app. FCM and APNs integration handles immediate, scheduled, and recurring notifications across both platforms. Notification scheduling respects device Do Not Disturb settings, handles timezone changes for recurring reminders, and survives app restart and device reboot—the edge cases that basic notification implementations get wrong.

Early access feedback has been used to guide feature prioritisation: users asked for recurring reminders before location-based reminders, for natural language time entry before colour coding, and for a widget before a calendar view. Listening to these signals has kept the feature set focused on what users actually use rather than what seemed interesting in planning meetings.

Reminder demonstrates our React Native capability and our approach to building cross-platform mobile apps that feel native on both platforms rather than like a lowest-common-denominator compromise. It is a reference for clients building productivity tools, notification-heavy apps, or any cross-platform mobile product.
